Warm Roof System

The warm roof places insulation above the roof deck, keeping the structure within the thermal envelope. This eliminates condensation risk and maximises thermal performance. It is the recommended system for most new-build and replacement flat roofs where insulation upgrade is a priority.

Overlay / Re-cover System

Where the existing roof deck and structure are sound, EPDM can be installed directly over the existing covering. This is faster and less disruptive than a full strip, and avoids the cost of disposing of old materials. A survey will confirm whether an overlay is appropriate for your roof.

How We Install a Flat Roof

Step 1: Survey & strip

We assess the existing structure, strip back any failed covering, and repair or replace joists and decking where needed.

Step 2: Deck & insulation

New OSB decking is laid and taped at the joints. Where a warm roof system is specified, PIR insulation boards are fitted above the deck before the membrane goes on.

Step 3: EPDM membrane

The EPDM membrane is laid, bonded, and trimmed with aluminium trims at all edges. Drains, outlets, and any penetrations are fully sealed. The site is left clean and tidy.
